Hi, I’m Carmela — the cheerleader behind the scenes at Art Spot ✨ As our chief marketer and admin supervisor, I help keep the studio running smoothly while making sure our community feels welcomed, connected, and inspired. With an extensive background in fashion design and as the founder of Bella Baccini Designs — a handmade crochet brand — creativity has always been at the heart of what I do. From organizing events and supporting families to helping bring the Art Spot vision to life online, I’m happiest building community, hyping up the team, and turning creative ideas into reality.
Hi, I’m Navdeep — artist, illustrator, and one of the creative guides here at Art Spot ✨ A Seneca Animation graduate, I’ve worked on beloved children’s series including Fancy Nancy, Lucas the Spider, Paw Patrol, and Dylan’s Playtime Adventures. Alongside my work as an independent children’s book illustrator, I teach our neurodivergent youth programs, sketching and painting classes, and creative workshops at the studio. As a Certified Art Therapy Practitioner, I deeply believe in the power of art as a tool for expression, regulation, confidence, and connection. My goal is to help every student feel supported, inspired, and free to create in their own unique way.
Hi, I’m Nicole — or as many of our students know me, Miss Nicole ✨ After stepping away from the corporate world, I found my way to Art Spot during March Break and quickly fell back in love with creating. Now, I teach sketching and painting classes for ages 5–18, lead birthday parties, and create unique upcycled art workshops that encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression. When I’m not teaching or working on my own art, you’ll usually find me hunting for new creative ideas, planning my next project, or sipping an iced coffee somewhere in between.
Hi, I’m Jenny — pottery guru and chief potter at Art Spot ✨ Realtor by day and pottery queen by night, I’m a true jack-of-all-trades with a passion for helping people fall in love with clay. From private pottery parties and workshops to wheel throwing and handbuilding, I love guiding people through the full pottery journey — from first spin to full-blown pottery obsession. Known for my contagious humour, welcoming energy, and expertise on the wheel, I make pottery feel approachable, achievable, and fun for absolutely everyone. Known for my contagious energy and ability to make anyone feel comfortable at the pottery table, I believe creativity should be playful, messy, and full of connection.
Hi, I’m Sonja — artist, creative director, and founder of Art Spot ✨ Art Spot was created from a deep belief that creativity has the power to connect, regulate, heal, and bring people back to themselves. What started as a dream has grown into a vibrant community art studio offering classes, camps, workshops, pottery, parties, and creative experiences for all ages. With a background in art, entrepreneurship, and community building, I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe to explore, express themselves, and create without pressure or perfection. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me hanging with my kiddos, or covered in paint or clay, and finding beauty in the creative chaos.
